Organization

The leader of the center is Frank Aarestrup.

The Center is located on DTU Campus in Lyngby and the project management and project members come from the 2 DTU Institutes: DTU Food and DTU CBS.

DTU FOOD The National Food Institute focuses on public health in relation to human nutrition, food safety, food quality, food technology, environment and health. www.food.dtu.dk

DTU CBS The Center for Biological Sequence Analysis conducts basic research in the field of bioinformatics and systems biology. The group has a highly multi-disciplinary profile (molecular biologists, biochemists, medical doctors, physicists and computer scientists) with a ratio of 2:1 of bio-to-nonbio backgrounds. CBS represents one of the large bioinformatics groups in academia in Europe. www.cbs.dtu.dk
